Hair piece

I was looking through my images when I found this. Hair pieces are something that I think about a lot in the back of my head because I think it is quite difficult to make something that is different. This was one attempt I did once.

Conception Collection

Last week I had a few intense but very fun days exhibiting my work together with 10 other artists at the Visual Art Centre in Hong Kong. Thank you for all the kind words and great interest in what we were showing.

This is my big necklace from the Conception Collection. You can wear it long or if you put the little sperm through the egg it becomes a short necklace. The two ways look very different from each other. I will have to show you one day.

These necklaces have become more than just a map. It is all the emotions and memories you have for the place that you miss the most. And to most people it only looks like an abstract blob which makes it even more personal to the wearer.

This is London and the Thames. Someone I know needed it.

De här halsbanden har blivit så mycket mer än bara kartor för dem som har ett. Det är alla de minnen som man har för det som är hemma. För alla utom bäraren ser det mest ut som något abstrakt vilket gör det speciella bandet man har med hemma ännu starkare.

Bear foot

Simon Westling's little bear foot bowl is what I sit and look at in backlight. The animal footed bowls are giving the objects personality and Bear foot here is small but he got a lot of character. 

The opening

Last night we had the opening reception for Ädel Metall. We had a great turnout and a lot of positive feedback. All the members of LOD have beautiful and interesting work to show and there is a history behind all of them.

Igår var det vernissage på Ädel Metall. Det kom massor av människor och många var positivt överraskade över vad de såg. LODs  saker är så olika från varandra och där är en historia bakom dem alla, som små vackra konstverk.

Ädel Metall

The last month and half I have been working on an exhibition with Anna, the owner of Ame Gallery. It is not to show my own things but to try to promote Scandinavian handicraft in Hong Kong.
I have missed being able to find these types of objects since I moved here and I strongly believe that there is a place for them here.

It is the group LOD from Stockholm that will be exhibiting their beautiful jewellery and objects. It is seven of them so there will be plenty to look at.

The General Consulate of Sweden and SAS have been suporting us and that we are so grateful for.

Egdes

I cannot help but to think that the over worked and almost cracked edge that you sometimes get from raising an object is something of the most beautiful you can achieve when you work with metal. It becomes the testimony of all the work put in to the making.

It rarely happens and even more seldom you manage to get it to an adequate size if you want to use it as a bangle, but one time it happened that way.

What happened to me? I moved to Hong Kong and tried to figure out what to do with myself.

It has been exiting and confusing all at the same time. I will from now on try to become better to update what I am up to.   

Inspiration

Min allra bästa mormor, källan till mycket inspiration till exempel det här och den här och faktiskt det här också. Stark, intelligent och kunnig precis så som man vill vara.

This is my grandmother who has inspired me so much in life in general and to some things in particular,  such as to make this and this and actually this piece as well.
Strong, intelligent and knowledgable. 

Children's pendant

Two small flowers for a little girl. They are about 2 cm wide, petal to petal.

Ett litet blomhalsband till någon som är liten. Fast det är klart, man kan ha den när man är stor också. 

Blomblad till blomblad är den ca 2 cm.
